Bienvenue à la page de Mme Lécuyer!

This site is to help all students and parents throughout the year to stay organized and to have helpful hints on how to better achieve on the various assignments throughout the year.

All students are to remember to always come to class prepared with all the necessary materials and ressources for that day's requirements, i.e.: pencils, pens, paper, binder, textbooks, HOMEWORK!

Remember, when correcting your work, use the following website: bonpatron.com

Extra credit opportunity: Each student has the opportunity to create and complete a project of their choosing for up to 5% extra credit. This project is entirely student lead. They are expected to meet with me to discuss their work the length of the project for my approval and suggestions. There is no guarantee of receiving the full 5% but any student who completes the extra credit assignment will receive a minimum of 1% on their final grade. It is expected that the subject matter be related to the course they are taking this semester.

I am often asked by parents how they can help their child at home to increase their abilities in the french language: written, oral, and comprehensive. The following points are tools that can help in achieving that goal.
1. Read more in french. The books, magazines or newspapers do not have to be difficult. Reading will increase vocabulary.
2. Watch movies on the french selection. If your child has already seen the movie and knows the storyline, select the french language format and have them watch the movie in french. This will help them to focus on the language being spoken since they already know what will happen in the story.
3. Become more aware of the french culture. There are many wonderful activities or venues to visit in our city that celebrate the language and expose a fun and interesting side to the language.
4. Explore french music, TV and movies.
5. When exploring the net, visit www.radiocanada.ca
