We will be getting back to poetry with an experience in haiku.

It is a simple, yet beautiful Japanese form of poetry, that does not rhyme and has a three-line pattern of five, seven, and five syllable lines. Traditionally haiku was written to express the beauty in nature, however in the modern day, haiku explores any idea you can imagine.

(There will be a quiz on Monday asking what a haiku poem is. I hope you read this)

Have rough copies of at least 2 haiku poems done and be ready to write and draw up a beautiful good copy of your haikus tomorrow. Have a good night!
