Course Overview:
The EN10F English class runs for the entire school year. Students will transition from middle school learning literary terms, reviewing the parts of speech and analyzing poems. The students will then analyze a selection of short stories before reading John Steinbeck's Of Mice and Men. Throughout the year the students will have units on creative writing, public speaking and will also be introduced to Shakespeare by reading A Midsummer Night's Dream. The course will culminate with the analysis of S.E. Hinton's classic novel, [Link]The Outsiders.
